2120, Weapons Repair Officer
a. Summary. Weapons repair officers manage the
equipment
readiness, work progress, and maintenance personnel
qualification/training. They manage the activities of
personnel
engaged in the recovery, salvage, and maintenance of weapon Systems
(small arms and artillery). They supervise the eleven
functional
areas of maintenance management. They manage command
environmental and hazardous waste programs. They supervise
and
provide oversight of disposal, storage, emergency planning for
hazardous waste, and ozone depleting substances.
b. Requirements/Prerequisites
(1) Complete the Marine Corps Ordnance Officer Course at U.S. Army
Ordnance Center and School, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
(2) Must have previously served in one of the following MOSs.
2111, 2112, 2111, 2161, 2171, or 21B1.
